Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

But that's the problem; it's a spinoff that is nothing like the original series I love so much, and the new character doesn't appeal to me at all. :\ I love Dante for his over-the-top cheesiness, and this guy just looks like another edgy, emo guy. e_e

I was seriously outraged by this whole DmC thing, and I really feel the same way. Been with the series so long, waited for this news, and then... blegh.
But, I'm slowly starting to get over it and kind of hope for the best. It takes too much effort to stay angry, and Ninja Theory's capable enough that they might manage to salvage the complete friggin' mess of what we saw in the trailer.

But I will forever and always make fun of angsty!teenybopper!Dante's hair. Forever and always. >8(

Yeah, I hate that I am going to spend so much time raging over this since in the long run that attitude won't get me anywhere, but... this isn't the DMC I love! It seems closer to DMC2 than anything, which... is not a good thing, haha.

Unless the finished game ends up completely different I think I'll have to give it a pass.

I tried to replay bits of DMC4 today but it just made me so sad. ;A; I miss homeless!cowboy!Dante so much. _{nnngh those chaps}

I'm going to keep an eye on it, and probably buy it because I'm a dumb fan like that. But it's my hope that if Ninja Theory knows they're alienating so many hardcore fans like us, they'll put extra effort into making the gameplay and hopefully the storytime super-cool. I'm going to try and keep some kind of optimism about it.

You can kinda tell it's a dye job, though. If you look closely in the trailer, you can see he's got white roots. Which still doesn't rule out the Dante/Lady possibility, though! Which I would enjoy seeing, also. _{Aw yeaaaah~}

Yeah... if the trailer had had just one set of impossible boobs or a single cheesy one-liner, I would have so much more hope for it. But we'll just have to wait and see, I guess. xD
